 Advice for high school

    Both of my parents went to Philomath High School and they loved it. My dad grew from 5'1" to 6' foot in one year and played football. My mom was 5'8" and was on the swim team and loved it. Now it's my turn and who better to turn to for advice then the people that have gone before me and succeeded?!

    I asked my parents for advice and what they gave doesn't just work for High school it will work for life to so listen up. They said to be your self and do what you want and have no regrets. Be who you want to be and pursue your dreams because if you don't the opportunity to do so will pass you by. Live in the moment not the past nor the future. Tomorrow is not today so let it be worried about later. Do your best and try your hardest and don't worry about what others think. Don't hide in the ruble of the past climb out and live in the present.

  So what I've learned from my parents is to live life and high school how you want to not how someone wants you to live it and to pursue my future like I do my dreams with my head and heart. Letting your walls down and letting people in is okay and don't hold things in it takes to much energy. Be who you are and do as you do will get you through life and high school!

 School in a perfect world.

  If I could create a perfect school it would be a school that focused more on the subjects each individual wants to learn about not what the school wants them to learn about. The school would shorten the subject that we have to take and make the ones we want to take longer. The classes that I would like to be longer are math, p.e., and literature. I love to read, math is a challenge most of the time and I like that, and who doesn't like p.e. I mean come on it's the best thing ever as long as we don't do more than 1 lap on the track and I really don't care for doge ball, but other than that it's great.

  Also my perfect school would have personal chefs for ever student that would cook them what ever they wanted for breakfast and lunch. They would make sure that you got all the veges and fruit you need and make a delicious meal for you to indulge in. You could even have milk shakes or smoothies for a drink and you could eat during class. So if you get hungry before lunch or at the end of the day all you would have to do is page them what you want and they would bring it to you on a silver platter literally.

 The buses would be more like a limo too. I really don't like how it's big, yellow, and hot inside. If it was a limo it would have A.C. for the summer and a heater that doesn't burn the back of your legs if you're the poor soul who got stuck with the heater seat for the winter. You could get drinks and food served to you while you were in the bus and not get in trouble and sit where ever you like. Also the buses would be split up so that the Clemens and Elementary schools would be together and the middle school and high schools would be together so no more annoying little kids.

 If I could make a perfect school that would be some of the things I would do.

So I'm pretty sure you all know that the dessert dance is coming up and we have to pick a theme, but I don't know which one to choose! I like the idea of Hawaii but the other ones are good too! I've never been to Hawaii and it sounds like fun.

You should vote for the Hawaii themed dance because everyone knows that Hawaii is a great place to go relax and have fun! Glow in the dark and never land might seem like a good idea now but what happens when they go and try to find things to decorate with...that's what I thought it's going to be hard. Glow in the dark I guess you could find a few thing and I don't know what you could do for never land but you can find Hawaii themed stuff pretty much every where. A tropical themed dance would be a great start to getting ready for the warm summer ahead! Don't you think?! As you can see Hawaii is the way to go when thinking about doing a themed dance at the end of the year or any time really.   Okay so I posted something yesterday on the dessert dance theme and why you should pick the awesome Hawaii theme. I was a little clueless on what I was supposed to do so I went back to the original web site and found some things that I should include in my blog about it.

  So I think I did explain why it would be a good idea for our class to do it so I can check that one off my list, but I don't think I really covered anything about what my visions would be for decorations. Well I was thinking that we could hand out leis, put up fake palm trees, maybe we could make the photo booth like a tiki hut, and the tables could have flowers as the center piece.

  Okay so that's really all I could think about for decorations in the time I had, but now I can go on to talking about what I would do to make the night special for my class. Well I don't really intend to help out with anything really big so I would probably just strongly suggest things to the people in charge and tell them any of your wonderful ideas about this amazing night.

  Hi my peeps! I just got back from being sick and when I looked at my comments they were great! I can't wait to get more, but I'm running out of ideas for my blog. I don't have anything new to tell you......oh ya! Friday was my dad's birthday! He is officially 40 years old! Plus Emma ( our yellow lab) turned 8! I can't believe it's only been 8 years since we got her. Also that this morning my sister and I had a fight over my straightener. I know what you're thinking " wow that's dumb" or " that must have been a big wast of time" and guess what it was you're right! Congrats, but it was mine and she wanted to use it and it was time to leave and she wasn't even dressed yet! I mean come on! Can't you get up when your alarm goes off so I'm not late every where we go! Geez the weez she ticks me off. Oh well that's life. Hi people of the blog world today I'm going to talk to you about one disease that I would like to cure. If I was a genius and was able to cure one disease of my choice It would be Breast Cancer. One of our close family friends had Breast Cancer a while ago and she was battling it for at least 4 years. She had had sugary to remove the infected breast in hope that it wouldn't spread to the other one. When they removed it they said that they were in time and that it hadn't spread. She was doing great until she found a lump in her other breast. It had spread and it was spreading fast. She had that one removed too but it was too late. She went on a treatment, but it didn't look like she was going to make it. In the end she was almost hairless, her arm was swollen, and she was really pale. She died in the year 2010 having fought for her life for a very long time. Breast Cancer took a great family friend and an amazing mother of a autistic child about 11 years old. If I could have been a genius and came up with a cure in time to save her or any one had came up with a cure she would be alive smiling, laughing, and being the great friend and mother. Another child lost their mother to breast cancer and strongly believe that it needs to stop. 5 things you should know about breast cancer is that 1. You can identify if you have it if you feel a lump in a breast. 2. Just like other cancers it can kill. 3. To get a head start on breast cancers they recommend to have mammograms every year or so or to see a doctor if you feel anything weird. 4. There are treatments, but they're very expensive and don't always work. 5. If you do do treatment your hair will most likely fall out. One more thing is that it can spread very fast and they recommend to have the infected area removed before it is able to spread. Also a way to support breast cancer awareness is to talk about it, post something on your blog, donate money, or wear pink when it's breast cancer awareness month.   Olah how are my favorite people in the world? What I want to know is what is your favorite vacation place or what your plans are for this summer!

  To kick things off I will tell you what I'm doing this summer. One thing that I can remember that we are doing is going to Shasta for a week with some old friends and it's supposed to be really nice. Also we will be going to a knight baseball game for my sisters birth day on July 2 because her birthday is on July 3. I will be having a whole week in summer to my self too when my sister goes to basket ball camp. Only bad part about this summer is that I have to baby sit my cousins Tuesday through Friday, but on the bright side I will be getting paid!

 I believe that life is like a board game.

  Life is like a board game. You spin a wheel and get a number move forward or back, but either way you are always moving. Most think the object of this game is to get the best house and have the most money to win, but the question is does that make you happy, is that what it's really about or is it about family, smiles, the feeling of peace and the knowledge that when you come home there will be a loving family waiting and a good meal on the table that every one eats together?

  I think that the real way to win at this ever lasting game of loss and wining is to work for it. Don't dwell on the bad live in the good! Look at every new day as a day to move forward no matter what! Let the smiles of the people around you lift your spirits and let you know that not every thing is bad and even though you might have to pay a tax when you spin a 10 or pay a hospital bill when Lilly brakes her arm when you spin a 2. You can't choose what number you land on and there will always be a person that does better and gets better but that doesn't always mean that their life is better.

  Life will always have tons of up and down, but that doesn't mean that we all need to go through life with a sad expression on our faces. What we need to do is fight through the tough patches and relax and enjoy the breeze when it blows. If you're always living in the past turns of life you will never get to enjoy the exsitement of the new spin, the wounder of which way to go. So life is a board game how are you going to play?
